BlogExplosion is Back
I wrote some time ago that BlogExplosion was dead. Nobody was approving blogs and the whole system was on auto-pilot. Well, the site seems to be under new management and is running again. My blog got approved and I’m hearing that the backlog of applications is either very small or totally gone.
So if you’re looking for some exposure for your blog (must be a blog-format site to be included) go take a look. Once you sign up, you surf around and look at other people’s blogs to earn credits. Those credits then are used to display your blog to other people doing the same thing. I’ll be doing another blog later on these traffic-exchange systems, but for now this is just an announcement that BlogExplosion is running again.

Well, I found your blog through Blog Explosion, so it seems to be working.

I’ve been waiting for my blog to get approved for a while. They seem to be backed up again?

I know, it’s lovely! I’m, so glad it’s back.

Back? 3-4 Weeks for approval? Well at least they approve again.

Yeah, I’ve noticed a kind of revival. I’ve seen some blogs I haven’t seen before, like yours, which is refreshing and on my part, traffic seems to have picked up for me, which is also good.

I waited nearly a month and a half for them to authorize my blog. I thought they just didn’t like the format or something. I, too, have had a lot of extra traffic, but like most people I wonder how much of that will ever be repeats. Oh well, at least people are (ideally) looking at it.

BE is still largely on auto-pilot. Their blogmarks don’t work, their customer service dept has yet to respond to me months later, etc. On the other hand I found this site via BE so who knows.

I think it’s a fluke, actually. I went into the forums and read a couple of posts on behalf of the administrators. They were trying to chip away at backlogs and restore site activity. I checked again today, on the 21st, to no avail. Site areas began locking up and not loading. My blog, submitted many, many weeks ago, is still dead. People designated to approve blogs also posted about their accounts being deleted off without prior notice.
This spells the beginning of the end, if it hasn’t already happened. If I get a few moments, I’m going to try to find another service.
