What is Online Writing?
I figured I’d start off on the ground floor here with my first post. What exactly am I talking about when I say “online writing”?
Well, the rather obvious answer is: “Writing that is published on the Internet.”
Nice and simple.
But I wanted to clarify that, so you readers don’t confuse this sort of work with more general telecommuting. Online writing isn’t the same as work-from-home writing. You won’t find any tips or help here for writing for the off-line and printed world.
Also, most online writing jobs/opportunities are also freelance/work-from-home BUT not always. Large companies will often have content writers or SEO writers who they require to work from their offices. Don’t assume that “online” means “telecommute”.

What difference does it make?
Not a huge amount. But if you are a writer who specializes in creating brochure ad copy or preparing grants, then you won’t find a whole lot here to help you. I just wanted to set the stage right from the beginning.
